Monday! I was all set to write a diary about animal mayors, but I fell asleep at the computer while doing research :(
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group gives Kossacks a safe place to check in, a daily diary where we can let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, earthquakes, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It also allows us to find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, earthquakes etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a Kosmail and ask to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
We do have a diary schedule. But, when you are ready to write that diary, either post in thread or send FloridaSNMOM a Kosmail with the date. If you need someone to fill in, ditto. FloridaSNMOM is here on and off through the day usually from around 9:30 or 10 am eastern to around 11 pm eastern.

An ...interesting... week. Strange. Full of surprises. And roses. Also a surprise :)
There were lots of things that I did do, like take the old wreath off the door, and things that i didn't, like put the Spring wreath up. DS set up my new TV, saying something about Ethernet cables and HDMI cables that was mostly incomprehensible. And there are two remotes. Crap. They control different things. Great. What a pain. Hopefully I can figure it out. The last time that I had a TV of my own, remotes hadn't been invented. All I can really do now is turn the TV off. Ah, well, I have kids. They'll help.
I got stuck with the king-size bed, so have to figure out what to do with that. I plan to store it in the guest room at least temporarily. Hoping that I can put it on sliders and shove it across the hall.
No luck finding a 12' stepladder to borrow :( Yet. I need to go find the perfect shade of sky-blue paint for the bedroom, and then paint as high as I can with a 6' stepladder that is really a 4' stepladder.
I need to plant the seeds for the garden :(
And put up the yellowjacket traps :(
I have to replace a sofa. I want a sleeper sofa, but the one that I had, which I loved, is out of stock on the site where I bought it.
I need to paint a bunch of picture frames silver. I must refrain from painting any of my furniture silver. When I have a paintbrush in my hand, I have a tendency to look around and see what else can be painted. Oops. This is not always a good thing. I might paint the dresser hardware silver. That could be a GOOD thing, as long as I leave the drawers partway open after removing the hardware. This will be difficult because I can't stand drawers that aren't completely closed. Aaargh.
Oh well. Projects make me happy, and now I have a LOT :)
What projects do you have for the near future ?? Next week I'll do animal mayors or Spring Cleaning :) Maybe :)
Happy Monday!
