So, this happened:
As explained on the Pro-Life Flag Project’s website, the white background "symbolizes non-violence in the womb" and the "innocence of the unborn child."
"The two baby feet represent the humanity of the unborn child," the website explains. … The two pink hands represent the pregnant mother "holding and protecting her child."
"The white heart in between the feet symbolizes the pro-life movement’s love for both the mother and her child," the website added.
It’s so cute that anyone still thinks the “pro-life movement” actually has “love” for anyone, let alone “for … the mother” since their policy goal is to force all pregnant women and girls to remain pregnant against their will, against medical advice, regardless of the risk, under penalty of law, and devote public resources to the policing and enforcement of that requirement. That doesn’t sound like “love” to me.
Which reminds me…
Inspired by the success of the rainbow flag, supporters of the right to life of the unborn have mobilized under one banner.
...of all those professions of “love” for the LGBT community by those committed to denying their civil rights, and their very humanity. And now, to trolling them with a “banner” of “love.” Subtle.
Of course, “pro-life” is a lie. It’s a lie because, e.g., inter alia, in addition to being wantonly dishonest about its policy goal (see supra), it contains unstated caveats, viz., “I’m ‘pro-life’ so long as the ‘life’ in question is not threatened by anything whose mitigation would either cost me money or require me to change my behavior.”
Now the lie has a flag. Whoopty-frickin’-doo.
